6th Annual King's Ball

The King’s Ball is a 250 year old tradition that was brought to the New World by French Settlers in South East Missouri. In anticipation of Lent, the weeks preceding Easter, a period of repentance, atonement and fasting. They literally had them themselves a ball. The event included boisterous ceremonies in which a ceremonial king was selected. Otherwise thought of as a Mardi Gras Masquerade type Ball.

Responder Rescue has decided to take our version of this tradition and turn it into a fundraising opportunity. Held in historic St. Charles, with its deep French roots. The event will be held at the Nightclub Ameristar Casino. With the Nightclub all dressed up, the live Mardi Gras themed music, sipping on a beverage and snacking on Cajun appetizers, you will feel transported to the “Big Easy”, right on Bourbon Street.
